How We Help
Drawing on a background in child and youth mental health, we search for opportunities to improve your current plan to better support children and youth when experiencing a disaster. Our approach to recommendations is designed to capitalize on existing community natural support networks and augment the current system to reduce the negative impact on child and youth mental health. The work we do serves as a bridge between what is required by legislation and what children need during a disaster.
Our services include workshops to help community members and professionals understand child and youth needs in the context of trauma, behaviour, mental health, brain development, displacement and recovery.
